why did this comment get a thumbs down? why was sandler chastizing rogen for comprising his act of masturbation and jokes? sandler claims rogen won’t get laid if this is his act. as a famous comedian in the universe of this movie, how can he be so ignorant? how can he possess such a shallow materialistic understanding of stand-up comedy? carlin included TONS of jokes in his act throughout his illustrious career, god rest his soul (even though he doesn’t believe in god, lol).

This was a unique movie. It was funny, but not hilarious. Not serious, but not stupid. It was better than the average Sandler movie, but not as funny as the Rogen-norm. Probably cause Rogen said the f-bomb only 5 times, and Sandler like 34 times

one more thing that me off about this movie: sandler’s character criticizes rogen’s character for making up his act with masturbation and jokes, claiming that he will never get laid EVER if this continues to be his act. that is an absolutely ridiculous assessment of a stand-up act, george carlin did SO MANY bits based on jokes, and parker and stone spawned terrance and phillip on their show which is hilarious, and i’m sure those guys don’t have problems getting laid.

you shouldn’t know sandler from his roles in zohan and chuck and larry, you should know him from the waterboy and big daddy. sandler has not done a good movie sice mr deeds, and that was 2002.

this movie was terrible. it wasn’t comedic in nature, it was simply ABOUT people aspiring to be stand-up comedians. also seth rogen and jonah hill are terrible actors. and halfway through the movie the plot totally changed from rogen’s aspirations to sandler trying to get back with his now-married fiance. this movie was totally all over the place and unnecessarily lengthy, that’s why it got a lot of bad reviews. i can’t believe i paid money to see this crap.
