Plot:
Inglourious Basterds begins in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). It always amazes me when people say that Quentin Tarantino movies are the worst movies they’ve ever seen. If nothing else, the guy is original. His films always add something fresh to the genre, or create a new genre altogether. When it comes to war movies, shouldn’t we be a little tired of the same old stories that have been told a thousand times? Yes, this movie is completely fictitious, but that’s whats great about it; its creativity and imagination at work.
